Too exhausted to worry and I love you…
Part of me is kind-of sad that the Hubby didn’t sit up to relax with me after Little Dude went to bed, as he had suggested and promised we would do this weekend.
The other part of me is too tired to worry about it.
The weather here was challenging, if you look at the massive winds and chill that descended upon us for the weekend. Challenging, that is, when you are holding a rummage sale. Which we were, with our lovely neighbors – E’s parents.
However, we made it through the freezing temps. They sold some items. We sold some items. I think we made about the same amount of money. Not much, but something.
And I more than covered the $20 I spent at the rummage sales today, part of which was spent on two sweet kitchen-set type toys for Little Dude. Both are ovens, one being a pizza oven set-up, which he has played with non-stop most of the afternoon. The other is just a straight-forward kitchen-type oven. Now I need to find a play refrigerator and sink, not to mention some toy food/dish items, as he gets pretty interested in E’s sets when he is over there. Maybe we’ll find some stuff to add to it for Christmas (long ways away, but time to start planning…).
E and Little Dude played outside for a portion of the morning, both bundled up in hats, gloves, coats and layers. They were our hook to bring in the people to buy, and they did a good job at it, playing with ride-on toys all around the driveway.
In other news, a few of us think Little Dude is saying, “I love you.” It is coming out at appropriate moments, isn’t perfectly clear, sounding more like, “Iwuvoo,” or something similar, but since he has now done it three times in front of me, I’m pretty positive that is what he is saying. Others that have heard him, agree. Pretty cool!
I had more to write, but I’m currently using tape to keep my eyes open – a painful process, which needs to be stopped. Time for me to head to bed…

Oh geez, RC. I hope you get some extra sleep today. I’m so jealous of the I love you. Ben doesn’t say it yet, though he shows it all the time. I think I’ll cry when I hear it for the first time though.
So darling he is saying I love you! Melts your heart!
I saw some plastic and velcro food kits at Wal-mart in the toy section. It was so cute, I almost bought them for Liam. He doesn’t even have a kitchen though.
I hope you get good rest!
I would soon like to get a kitchen set. Kids have so much fun with those! Glad Little Dude had fun with his. My baby has a spatula from a kitchen set and I kid you not… we take that thing EVERYWHERE!
Awwwww I love you! Too cute!!!
Awwww!!! Little Dude is so cute! … When Jared was tiny like that he would say “yuh you” for “love you”. My heart melted every time he said it.
Oooh that’s sweet. Hopefully the next couple of days will be calm and you’ll have time to relax a little. (((hugs)))
