Allergies, allergies, and more allergies…
Am I the only one who has noticed what appears to be an increase of people with extreme allergies?
Little Dude has the dairy allergy (which many people still mistake for someone with just lactose intolerance – they don’t understand the full scope of an actual dairy protein allergy).
One of my neighbors has a son with a peanut allergy. Not to mention my coworker with the same issue.
The list goes on of people I know with allergies, sensitivities, etc…
I’ve heard many theories on the rise of these allergies, and I know I have a few as well, which I won’t get into, but knowing how difficult it can be to manage one allergy, I can’t imagine having to deal with several.

This mom has a child with allergies to soy, peanuts, eggs, wheat and dairy – thus the name. She is assembling allergy-friendly recipes, tells how they deal with day-to-day incidents, and tracks accident allergy contamination/recalls in various allergy-free foods (in the US and in Canada).

my heart goes out to parents of kids with some of these allergies — especially once they start school. i had a coworker years ago with a daughter with a peanut allergy. she was terrified. i think perhaps, times have changed and there is a better awareness and respect, now. still i think risks are different for these parents than non-allergic kids sending their kids off into the world.
not sure why they are occurring but now that they are here, we need to deal with them

My son has a classmate with a peanut allergy so notes went home at the very beginning of the school year reminding parents that no treats containing nuts of any kind should be sent to school.
I’m glad the only allergies we have in our house are seasonal.
I am allergic to everything outdoors, seriously, but thankfully not to food or medicine that I know of. Sucks.
I just got a note home yesterday from Pickle’s preschool saying “NO peaches for snack day…kids are allergic.”
wow! SPEWD! *speechless*
I am so thankful that none of us have allergies. It must be so hard to deal with! (Well, Jared is allergic to amoxicillon)
