We didn’t know if we would be able to participate in World Earth Hour, but figured we would turn off as many lights as possible. In the end, the nightlights stayed on, but every other light in the house was off from a bit after 8:30 pm until slightly after 9:30 pm.

Little Dude loved playing with us in the dark – except when he crashed into his daddy, his cheekbone into the Hubby’s nose. We had two males in pain for a bit.

Beyond that, it was successful and a great time.

Little Dude especially liked playing with the special flashlight he received when we were at Walt Disney World, as well as watching the candlelight dancing on the ceiling.

What a fun bonding experience for our little family – and a great way to practice a little bit of energy conservation!
