Rambling Along…

Lists of Questions (About RC)

Do you ever get those lists of questions via email? Since I receive them from multiple people, I figured I would just answer a few of them here. Feel free to put your own version of any of the lists in the comment section!

I’ll add to this as they pop in, when I get a spare moment or two…

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This first one is courtesy of an email friend of mine - Lyssa.

1. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
I can’t say that I’ve ever had the privilege.

2. Do you close your eyes on roller coasters?
No – I love them!

3. When was the last time you went sledding?
Hmm… Unplanned sledding may have occurred at some point in Winona, MN, during the college years.

4. Would you rather sleep with someone else, or alone?
With the hubby, of course! (Although I will admit that spreading out on a big bed alone, is awesome!)

5. Do you believe in ghosts?
At times.

6. Do you consider yourself creative?
Most of the time, yes. But, since I’m supposed to be creative for a living, it gets difficult, occasionally.

7. Do you stay friends with your exes?
I’m not really close friends with any of them. But, I would consider a few of them as distant friends – they type who email greetings to each other, or exchange pleasantries in passing, every so often.

10. Do you know how to play poker?
Yes, my friend, JaNette, taught me how, while our respective boyfriends (we’ve both moved on from these two!) were busy playing “Techmo Football.”

11. Have you ever been awake for 48 hours straight?
I think that is called “college” or “motherhood,” so yes.

12. What’s your favorite commercial?
I think the Mac vs. PC commercials are incredibly cute – and I use and like both platforms, but some of what they say is so true!

13. What are you allergic to?
If it is green, and grows outside, I’m allergic to it. Not to mention my cat allergy (yes, I still have one!), and various, fairly moderate, food allergies…

14. If you’re driving in the middle of the night, and no one is around do you run red lights?
No.

15. Do you have a secret that no one knows but you?
Of course. Don’t we all?

16. Have you ever been ice skating?
Yes – in my mother’s old ice skates, and I didn’t keep my balance all too well.

17. How often do you remember your dreams?
Frequently – I had some of the most vivid (and freaky) ones while I was pregnant.

18. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
When I realized my son smiles when I laugh! I couldn’t stop myself then…

19. Can you name five songs by one artist/group?
Sure. How about a little Billy Joel? Pressure, Piano Man, The Entertainer, Movin’ Out, and This Is The Time.

20. What’s the one thing on your mind now?
Several things – my son, my husband & my career.

21. Do you always wear your seat belt?
Yes.

22. What cell service do you use?
AT&T (and I miss my little Cingular guy…)

23. Do you like Sushi?
I don’t like a lot of seafood, and I don’t eat raw beef, so can’t say that raw fish will ever appeal to me. Haven’t, and don’t plan to, try it.

24. What do you wear to bed?
When it is warm - an old T-shirt. Cold - thermal pajamas.

25. Been caught stealing?
No.

26. What is your shoe size?
8-8.5

27. Do you truly hate anyone?
Hate is a very strong word and emotion. I have several people I dislike, though.

28. Classic Rock or Rap?
Rock.

29. Favorite Song?
It varies depending on my mood. My favorite love song is “In Your Eyes,” by Peter Gabriel, though.

30. Have you ever sang in front of the mirror?
On a regular basis – usually I’m dancing with my son when I do it.

31. What food do you find disgusting?
Raw meat of any kind.

32. Do you sing in the shower?
Pretty much all of the time – especially now that I have a child playing very near the shower (in his exersaucer or Pack-n-Play). It keeps him somewhat calm to hear me.

33. Did you ever play, “I’ll show you mine, if you show me yours?”
I remember the boys in elementary school playing that and telling us (the girls) to look down our shirts and spell attic (I’ll let everyone do that silently now, so you can all giggle). I was a little prude, so no, I was shocked when I was asked.

34. Have you ever made fun of your friends behind their back?
I usually make fun of them in front of them. They are friends and they do the same for me!

35. Have you ever stood up for someone you hardly knew?
Yes. And under difficult circumstances.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This second list was sent to me by several of my friends…

Have you ever:

1. Smoked a cigarette?
Yes, despite my mom warning me against it, due to my asthma and heart condition… No one said I was bright all of the time.

2. Drank so much you threw up?
Yes. Again, not a smart moment for me. And, don’t ask about throwing up in the bathroom at Mingles.

3. Had feelings for someone who didn’t have them back?
I think that was a reason for a break-up, so yes.

4. Been arrested?
No.

5. Gone on a blind date?
Yes, and although I’m glad I did it, it was a BAD experience.

6. Skipped school?
I was always excused when I missed school. :-)

7. Been to Canada?
Yes. Thank you mom and dad!

Yes – my friend, Angie, and I had a great time in Cancun!

Many times!

11. Been lost?
Would anyone in my family care to answer this one for me? I could get lost in a paper bag.

No.

14. Swam or waded in the ocean Both Pacific and Atlantic?
Atlantic only.

15. Cried yourself to sleep?
Many times.

16. Played cops and robbers?
I think so. But, that was rarely gruesome enough for my sisters and me. (You don’t want to know what type of restaurant we used to pretend to have when we played or washed dishes – just trust me on this.)

17. Recently colored with crayons?
Yes, and it was fun!

18. Sang karaoke?
Not publicly.

Those college days were great!

20. Done something you told yourself you wouldn’t?
Got married, had a child, etc… Yep.

21. Made prank phone calls?
I think I did a few times, but overall I didn’t do this as a child. My parents would have been pretty ticked at me had I done this and been caught.

22. Laughed until some kind of beverage came out of your nose?
Yes, and chocolate Slimfast coming out of your nose, when you are wearing a light-colored shirt and on the way to work, is very messy.

Yes. I love the rain!

25. Written a letter to Santa Claus?

That sounds like fun, but no.

Only a couple times – college days, again…

Quite a few – some of the aren’t very nice…

Other than all your allergies and heart condition, I think we were separated at birth, friend.

I hate seafood and sushi. I won’t even try sushi.

I ADORE roller skating! I haven’t done it in years, but I was rolling around the neighborhood and in the rinks as much as I could as a kid/teenager. I have great memories from that little interest.
